Trade mark services
Trade marks are signs used in the course of trade for distinguishing the goods and/or services of one person from those of another (e.g. Coca-Cola, Kodak or BMW). Trade marks can be registered in the UK through the UK Intellectual Property Office.
We regularly advise upon and conduct UK trade mark applications and related matters.
Domain name disputes
Domain name arbitration is a contract-based system for the resolution of certain kinds of entitlement disputes involving domain names. Disputes involving generic top level domains (such as .com domains) are governed by the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy; whereas disputes involving country code top level domains (such as .uk and .eu) often have their own rules of adjudication (e.g. the Nominet Dispute Resolution Service Policy in respect of .uk domains).
We directly represent clients in domain name disputes. We also assist law firms in the representation of their clients in this kind of specialist proceeding.
